The NAS Education Rights Service provides impartial, confidential information, advice and support on education rights and entitlements for parents and carers of pre-school and school-age children with autism to help them get the educational support their child needs.

 

Sutton Autism Spectrum Advice Service aims to develop the expertise and awareness of schools and other educational settings so that they can provide an environment in which children and young people with autism can progress and thrive.

 

The Service develops the capacity of schools and educational settings in a number of ways

  • Observation, consultation and an Intervention Plan which is then evaluated by school and returned. This may trigger further support and advice  

  • Providing training  for whole staff or surgeries to small groups of staff as part of Continuing Professional Development ( CPD )

  • Offering teacher observations and support with planning a differentiated curriculum

  • Parent Programmes (see Parent Training and Info)

SOS!SEN offer a free, friendly, independent and confidential telephone helpline for parents and others looking for information and advice on Special Educational Needs (SEN).

 

We concentrate on helping people to find their way through the legal and procedural maze which is so daunting to so many who try to obtain satisfactory provision for a child’s special needs.  They also run local drop in advice centres at Thornton Heath, East Molesley and New Malden.

Sutton Educational Psychology Service (EPS) works with children, young people, families, schools and other practitioners to encourage the educational, social and emotional growth and development of children and young people. The EPS provides guidance and support to schools on a range of issues, including raising the achievement of pupils, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN).

IPSEA provides families with independent legally based information, advice and support to help get the right education for children with all kinds of special educational needs. Services include downloadable resources, advice line, SEN tribunal helpline and tribunal support.

 

Redfern Psychology is an 
Independent Practice of highly experienced Clinical Psychologists and a Child Psychotherapist. We cover South-East London, Sutton, Coulsdon, Croydon and the surrounding areas. We work at our clinic base, in family homes and with schools.

 

We have a team of professionals with over 20 years experience, the majority of which has been in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). All of us have previously worked at Sutton CAMHS. Some of our clinicians have Private Healthcare Provider Recognition.

 

We provide diagnostic assessments and advice about management for problems including: Autism Spectrum conditions, examination/ college or school stress, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD),

low self-esteem, feeding and sleep problems, parenting difficulties, tantrums and behaviour problems,
