Sunday 10th June

 

Excusive Ice Skating Session at Streatham Ice Rink

 

NAS Sutton have hired out Streatham Ice Rink for exclusive use for our members on Sunday 10th June!

 

We will have the rink to ourselves between 4.30pm and 5.30pm, so this is an ideal opportunity to have a relaxed afternoon with your family and meet others who are in a similar situation to you.  This event is open to all our members irrespective of age.

 

You will need to make your own way to and from the ice rink, and parents/carers must remain responsible for their children throughout the whole of the session.  Hire of ice skates is also included.

 

We are asking for £3 per person donation and details of how you can make this donation will be sent to you upon booking.

Monday 18th June

 

 Special Needs Parents Advice Group

with Mark Brown of Special Help for Special Needs

 

This is a friendly and informal drop-in support group for parent carers of children and young people with additional needs.  

 

Mark (Special Help for Special Needs) is an expert on a range of issues including toileting, sleep, behaviour. obsessions, puberty and much more.  He has worked with many families to help them overcome a variety of challenging issues.  He is generously donating his time so more local families can get his help. This is your chance to get his advice and also meet up with other parents and carers who are in a similar position to you.

 

When:  Drop in any time between 10am to 12noon

Where: Wallington United Reformed Church, Stanley Park Road, Wallington

Cost: Voluntary donation of £1 to be paid on the day

 

Tea and biscuits are guaranteed, along with a friendly, non-judgemental environment!

NAS Sutton AGM with Guest Speaker

ROBYN SEWARD

 

NAS Sutton are really excited to welcome Robyn Steward along as guest speaker at this year's Annual General Meeting.

Robyn is Autistic and has worked in Autism for over 10 years. She is a trainer helping people to better understand Autism, whether you be a parent , school, conference , care provider or anyone else wishing to support Autistic people. She is also an author , consultant and musician .

Robyn provides training for local authorities, care and support providers , schools and parent groups. Her training focuses on showing how many different experiences of autism there are and on practical strategies. She has over 10 years experience of speaking at conferences and events.

 

When:  Monday 18th June 7pm - 9pm
